A semi-finalist!
I found out the other day that my 10-minute play The Last Anniversary has been selected as a semi-finalist for Lakeshore Player's 10-minute play festival in June. There are about 40 such lucky plays in all, 20 of which will become finalists, and 10 of which will be performed as part of the festival. So I'm excited that the play has made it this far, and will continue to hope that it makes the final cut.

Yay, Jim! I saw that on the Lakeshore website today and wondered if congratulations were in order! How exciting. I'm going to go check out your website to see if you have an exerpt posted. When is the next round of finalists announced?
Thanks! The next round is announced March 9th, after which they read through all 20 finalists (I sat in on that last year and it was a lot of fun). I believe they then select the 10 plays to produce by the end of March. I do have the full script of the play on my website, so enjoy!

*sigh* I just read it. It's very sad...good, mind you...but sad. I guess that's how life often goes...very good, but sometimes very sad. Thanks for writing.
